Moehringer highlights the various elements of Kobe’s polarizing character, while also detailing each injury that he’s playing through at the moment. Impressive to say the least. Say you needed a photographer to shoot a calendar full of half-naked, stunningly beautiful models in Brazil. It seems like Terry Richardson would be the natural first choice. That Terry’s name has become so synonymous with great and provocative photography is a testament to the quality work he does, and the kind of environment he establishes when he works. That he’s able to travel the world, taking pictures of gorgeous naked models and getting paid huge sums of money is just a little unfair. But he’s just undeniably good at what does. Our resident out of pocket photographer Terry Richardson has created a blog. And it’s cool. Really cool. It’s fascinating to get a glimpse into the mind of a world renowned photographer who’s become famous for making the unsuitable suitable, and the inappropriate, essential. Terry’s blog reads more like a visual diary, taking readers on a journey into the life of the photographer, covering the passions, interests and idiosyncrasies of everyone’s favorite (or least favorite) photographer. You just can’t get enough of Terry. I mean, Ijust can’t get enough of Terry Richardson. Mom’s probably hates him. Danny and I swear by him. But I think most folks are still getting a feel for him. As we’ve mentioned so many times before, his photography manages to shed light on experiences and moments we’d otherwise have no idea about. Terry Richardson, the king of the “What the fuck?” picture? I think it’s an accurate title. When it comes to art, you just really can’t give a fuck. You just gotta do you. Otherwise the effectiveness of the art is jeopardized. I fuck with Terry because he never gives a fuck. That’s why he’s winning. Every so often we’re gonna joog some TRich photos. Terry pretty much explaining why he’s so wet. He relates the idea that spontaneity and comfort are essential to pulling off a great shoot. I think it’s his approach that makes him so dope. With little planning and preparation, it allows him to go off the top with it and come back with something memorable. Easier said than done, and this cat makes it look the easiest.

In a campaign for Vogue Homme International, Terry Richardson goes in again, and comes out with some iconic photography for a spread entitled Autoportraits. You wouldn’t know it off top, but these photos are actually advertisements for a watch brand, featured on the wrist of Richardson. It’s crazy. His photography is so fuckin simple, but allows for so many interpretations. He photographs shit you wouldn’t choose to see. But 7 times out of 10 you’re better for seeing it. Suggestive but appropriate.

Terry just caught people having a good time, enjoying themselves. Photography is so wet because it captures a particular moment, an essence and a feeling. Terry is a master at the craft. His photos have the ability to capture the true energy of a person. You can look at a photo and understand the context of the photo. These shots do the same. Makes me want to make that trip out to Brazil, bring a few racks, cop some trees, find a bad one and post up with the bruhs. Photographers make the world go round.
