You know this is some old school shit because he didn’t even have the H yet. I was so infatuated with MJ during this time period that I didn’t even know Akeem existed, let alone respected his game. There’s something to be said about him swooping those two chips when MJ bounced in ’94 and ’95. There’s even more to be said about him being the only player in history to win NBA MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP in the same season (93-94). This is the inaugural Akeem Olajuwon, he’s just getting comfortable.

Chronicles of the Jordan Nique slam dunk saga. Starting in ’85 with Nique taking it over MJ, the video goes on to detail the ’87 competition where Jordan took it, and then the ’88 classic where the competition went into overtime. Jordan in the gold chain and AJ1′s is priceless.
