Miike Snow’s “Animal” was without a doubt one of the most blogged about songs last year, as the Swedish trio made the jump from pop super-producers to the full-length album arena. Don’t get me wrong, the OG was cool. And then Ronson got a hold of it. Mark Ronson, tastemaker and super-producer in his own right (Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and Wale, to name a few clients) took this one somwhere new, when he dropped this remix a few months back. Electropop turned into some settled vintage-sounding reggae, and we came up on an essential slap. My apologies for sleeping. I already know Nick knew about this one early.

does anyone remember animal, the muppet who played the drums? well just what the hell was wrong with him? soo loud all the time and never making sense. he would be so annoying to hang out with. but at least you can tell him secrets because he would never be able to articulate it to anyone else.
