JOHN MAYER – “WHO SAYS”

I think Continuum did a lot to silence the John Mayer haters. For some folks, the last few years saw John go from a guilty pleasure to the kind of artist you have to mention when you talk about the decade’s most important pop music figures. Even way back when, he had girls choosing up off this one though. “Who Says” delivers on the promise that the upcoming Battle Studies will offer a focus on pop songwriting and melody after the soul-steeped feel of Continuum. A settled song all around. “Who says I can’t get stoned?” wonders John. Who can’t relate?
