At this point in his career, John has earned the right to do what he feels. After crafting probably his best work yet on the soul-soaked Continuum, John is set to drop Battle Studies on Tuesday, a return to the pop-rock songwriting that made him your sister’s favorite. The single, “Who Says” is about as settled as it gets. Not to mention some slick visuals courtesy of Anthony Mandler. “Heartbreak Warfare” kicks off the album correctly though. Dope album all around, and well worth the cop.
