JAY-Z FEAT. ALICIA KEYS – “EMPIRE STATE OF MIND”

The New York anthem from Jay and Alicia. Matt calls it grown man hip hop. Directed by Hype Williams, the video features iconic black and white shots of NY with stills consisting of all the things that make NY what it is. Still haven’t laid eyes on it though. I’m envious of those that have.

    It’s just weird that jay can release a song called “empire state of mind” when 5 years ago nas would have lost his shit. Times have changed, eh?

    You’ve been to New York, but it was before Alicia was singing about “the big city” and Jay wasn’t there pointing out the sites. They do make it seem worth another visit.
