Looking back at the past decade’s most prolific producers, there’s a few that are impossible to ignore. Say Timbo, Yeezy, the Neptunes. Personally though, I’d have to say Danger Mouse belongs in the conversation. If not for the Grey Album, the Gorillaz stuff or Dangerdoom, simply because he put together arguably the greatest song of the last ten. For once, Rolling Stone feels me. Broken Bells is his latest collab project, along with The Shins frontman James Mercer. Judging by “The High Road”, it’s looking like another decade of dopeness.

always loved the shins. after all, they were my neighbors from nm growing up. this is really tight. it seems like danger mouse just has a way of inspiring the people around him. i mean, david lynch does a 300 page photo booklet for one of your projects? gotta be inspiring.
I love this song. I’d give anything with Danger Mouse’s name on it a try. Fo’ serious.
absolutely. the dude’s mind just kinda operates on a different plane. he’s able to make super catchy shit without catering to anything except his own taste and the folks he wants to work with. the dark night of the soul project was definitely dope. david lynch is a whole ‘nother discussion too.
