“As I move down this very long road
Sometimes I wished I’d stayed at home
Where I’m going no one knows
Only know I gotta go
You gotta move, gotta move…”

The cannabis experience has greatly improved my appreciation for art, a subject which I had never much appreciated before. The understanding of the intent of the artist which I can achieve when high sometimes carries over to when I’m down. This is one of many human frontiers which cannabis has helped me traverse. There also have been some art-related insights – I don’t know whether they are true or false, but they were fun to formulate. For example, I have spent some time high looking at the work of the Belgian surrealist Yves Tanguey…
The Lamborghini Miura is a sports car produced by Italian automaker Lamborghini between 1966 and 1972. The car is widely considered to have begun the trend of high performance, two-seater, mid-engined sports cars. While the mid-engined layout had been used successfully in competition in cars such as the Ford GT40 and Ferrari 250 LM at Le Mans, the Miura was the first viable road car sporting the layout. Wet wet.
“What’s great about this country is that America started the tradition where the richest consumers buy essentially the same things as the poorest. You can be watching TV and see Coca Cola, and you know that the President drinks Coca Cola, Liz Taylor drinks Coca Cola, and just think, you can drink Coca Cola, too. A coke is a coke and no amount of money can get you a better coke than the one the bum on the corner is drinking. All the cokes are the same and all the cokes are good. Liz Taylor knows it, the President knows it, the bum knows it, and you know it”
Some extremely funky shit for the afternoon. Jesse knows what’s good. KP does too. They should also know this is just the very beginning of even imagining scratching the surface for the P-Funk. Rest assured though, we’re gonna take folks on the Mothership to Chocolate City. Getting just knee deep is not an option. For now we’ll hit em with the Bop Gun and hope it keeps the syndrome in check. If you have no idea what the fuck I’m talking about, my apologies. Go do some research. Or just let this one rock.

I think it’s true. I think they do. But let’s save that conversation for another time. For the moment here’s a healthy dose of pop art from the mind of David Spiller. This cat is just wet. Damn near drenching. There’s not even much more to say about dude. I really just wanna shut up and let his work speak. But let me leave you with this. His thoughts on the creative process…
“A classic is classic not because it conforms to certain structural rules, or fits certain definitions. It is classic because of a certain eternal and irrepressible freshness.â€
A little gold for the weekend. In 1983 Michael Jordan was a 20-year old college student. Like many of us, his understanding of the world was being shaped and reshaped during college. This is before Air Jordan. This is before it was cool to have his shoes. Before baggy shorts and gold chains. When these pictures were taken, his legacy had yet to be created. The Shot had yet to happen. The MVP’s, the rings, the moments, all had yet to be. They did not exist yet! But now, in retrospect these images hold so much more meaning. We still haven’t even really gotten started with Mike. I mean we got this and this, but there’s so much more. So let’s thank Jesse for these, and enjoy our Saturday.
“Rebel rebel, you’ve torn your dress
Rebel rebel, your face is a mess
Rebel rebel, how could they know?
Hot tramp, I love you so…”

“The difference between sex and love? I would say sex is an art form. Love is the caring for the person that you’re performing the art with. How’s that?â€
Everybody knows Dustin is that dude. The Graduate is one of those movies you can only really speak of in superlatives. If you were an aspiring filmmaker, actor or screenwriter, this would probably be on a short list of movies you should see immediately. Not to mention the Simon & Garfunkel laced soundtrack. Classic shit. Anyway, this scene is for those in need of a reminder that your intuition can be your best friend. Sometimes you just gotta go off top and see what happens.
If you haven’t heard of The Undisputed Truth, I guess I can’t blame you. The Motown soul act might just someday get their picture in Webster’s next to the entry for “slept on”. The Undisputed scored big on the charts twice, with “Smiling Faces Sometimes” and “Papa Was a Rolling Stone”, the first of which is still a staple of R&B radio and the latter having become a bigger hit as covered by the Temptations. Dylan’s own “Rolling Stone” has been done a million times, but probably never this soulfully. The song is dope; the geeked up costumes are just icing on the cake.

Richard dropping some knowledge for us. One of the best simply because his comedy is rooted in reality. It’s easy to relate. Quincy Jones put it pretty real when he stated, “I’ve always thought that a big laugh is a really loud noise from the soul saying, ‘Ain’t that the truth!” I’d have to agree. Here’s Pryor from his timeless performance on Sunset Strip. The suit is just vicious. Richard Pryor at his best.
Just some icy ones of Santi. I think she’s just about at the forefront of things. Her fit is devastating. As I age in the game, I’m beginning to realize a very crucial distinction. There’s clothing and then there’s fashion. A lot of people say they’re into fashion, when they’re really just into clothes. I won’t front. I’m just as guilty. But this fashion game is only that for so many. For some, it’s their pursuit, their obsession. And I respect that. I’ve got my own. But here’s to fashion. Nabil Elderkin on the hook.
