I gather Bangkok is a pretty strange place. Like any massive urban center, it seems like it’s got a little bit of everything. Beautiful things, ugly things, and plenty of things that are so ugly they’re beautiful. For Boogie, it’s exactly the kind of hectic environment his art thrives in. With a resume that includes projects in Japan, Brazil, New York, and Serbia, to name a few, Boogie has built his reputation by examining the darker sides of some of the world’s biggest metropolises. With Day and Night, his latest pair of photographic essays, the result is about the same. Vivid black and whites you can’t really help but be drawn in by.
